Shroud of the Familiar
Brothers Salven and Calid Deiser once did everything together.
They chased imagined fairies through the snowy woods, searched for buried treasures within tepid rivers, and marvelled at the yearly shows of magic performed by the mages of Andavel. The two were inseparable, and Calid loved his brother more than anything else in the world.

But all that would change when Salven came of age to learn magic, and allowed his dreams to shape a life far from his family.
Years later, tragedy has struck, and Calid has run away from home. Salven must now face the remains of what he left behind, and scour the woods for his brother as a stranger. But the woods hold more than memories. Something is festering beneath the trees — twisting the boundaries of the known, possible, and containable.
Magic gave Salven everything he ever wanted. Now, it may take the last thing he has left.
