You've followed every step in the book, all in painstaking effort to create your very own - storyboarded hard, slaved away on page after page, and shepherded your precious characters along every step of the long, torturous trials that you 'had' to put them through. Now, however, it’s time for the most exciting part of all – working to see your creation out under the appreciative eyes of countless others.
Read on below to find out how you can submit your work to Doppelfoxx Publishing, and kickstart the next chapter in your career as a writer.

RELATED CONTENT
Supplementary assets such as cover drafts, artwork, or research notes that could help us better evaluate the work.
WHAT TO PUT IN A COVER LETTER
- The premise and format of your submitted project (novel, comic, etc.)
- Its genre(s), intended audience, including potential niche(s) and subcultures
- The current state of the project and steps already taken toward publication (editing, sensitivity reads, beta readers, etc.)
- Your background as a creator, including any prior publications, relevant experience, or other work within the industry or fandom
Please also clearly indicate:
- Content warnings, if applicable
- Whether the work is a standalone project or part of a series
- Any existing agreements, contracts, or stipulations surrounding the work, including that related to attached illustrations or intellectual property. Ideally, assurance of the absence of such.
how to present your manuscript and related content
Your submission should be clear and organized in order to allow smooth and focussed evaluation.
- Submit the manuscript as a single, complete file.
- Use a standard, machine-readable format (e.g. DOCX or PDF), with consistent font, spacing, and pagination.
- Clearly label the file with the project title and author name.
- Ensure the manuscript represents the most polished version of the work you currently have.
- Avoid excessive formatting, embedded media, or unnecessary extras within the manuscript file.
Supplementary / Miscellaneous Content
- Optional materials may be attatched alongside the manuscript to provide additional context or vision.
- This can include cover drafts or mockups, illustrations, research summaries, or marketing concepts.
- Supplementary files should be clearly labeled and separated from the main manuscript.
- If a significant number of files are to be included, please list and briefly describe them in the cover letter.
Evaluation Criteria
All submissions are considered holistically. In addition to prose quality and originality, we assess:
- Conceptual clarity and creative merit
- Craft, structure, and editorial readiness
- Suitability for our publishing focus and catalogue
Niche submissions are encouraged, and content of all age ranges and audience targets is welcomed, but the evaluation of primarily adult or niche content (i.e. erotica) will remain dependent on the above-listed factors, rather than the adult or niche appeal of the content alone.
Submissions that are likely or certain to receive rejection include those that feature –
- Content that is disclosed to be or sincerely suspected to be AI generated/assisted, and of which the human-made nature cannot be ascertained.
- Content which is otherwise not composed by/original to the submitting author(s) or those they seek to legitimately represent.
- Content that distastefully focusses upon, encourages, or condones (etc..) hate, violence, discrimination, or other criminal acts and behaviours.
- Submissions made in bad faith, including spam, mass-produced works, or projects submitted without genuine interest in publication through the house.
- Repeated resubmissions without meaningful revision after prior rejection or feedback, indicating disregard for the review process.
Editorial Discretion
We reserve full editorial discretion in evaluating submissions. A decision not to proceed does not necessarily reflect on the quality of a work, but can also come as a result of fit, timing, or current publishing capacity.
Due to submission volume, we may not be able to provide individualized feedback on rejected submissions, but will attempt to explain reasons for rejection to as great of a professional extent as possible, and will respond to all submissions without exception and as soon as possible.
We do not impose a maximum (or minimum) word count for submissions, but how the length of any given project is weighed will naturally be relative to the consistency of quality throughout, and the ways in which that length serves to benefit the project’s vision.
